Did you know. . . that the Joliet Drama Guild (“JDG”) has been bringing quality live theatre to the Joliet area for over 78 years? Community Theatres like JDG breathe life into a community. Through their involvement, participants have an opportunity to step outside themselves into a creative new world or set of life experiences. Involvement also provides many opportunities to make new friends.

Did you know. . .that theatre in general is a collaborative art? It isn’t about the actor – it’s about the team.  While the actors bring to life the playwright’s words, behind the scenes is a team of people who have created synergy to make the production itself happen. 

Did you know. . .that JDG is an organization run by a team of volunteers with a passion for live theatre?  As a volunteer organization, JDG relies on the support and involvement of its members for its success.

Did you know. . .that it is easy (and cost effective) to become a member of JDG? JDG offers its members a number of benefits as a thank you for their support too!

Even if you haven’t seen or participated in a JDG show yet, but you enjoy live theatre, you have many great reasons to consider becoming a member of the Joliet Drama Guild!

Memberships in JDG are for a one-year period coinciding with each season (September 1st to August 31st). We welcome new members at any time of the year, with the first year’s membership pro-rated to bring the new member into that season’s membership cycle ending August 31st.

JDG offers two different membership types, Standard and Sustaining.

1) Standard Membership level
Individual ($15 per season)
Couple ($20 per season)
Family ($25 per season)

*Discounted show tickets ($1.00 off regular ticket prices)
*Priority seating time at performances (10 minutes prior to non-members)
*Receipt of Guild newsletter (Call Board)
*Audition notices
*Invitation to Guild special events
*Voting privileges
*Inclusion on mailing/phone list
*Eligibility for Board of Directors Membership
*Notation of membership in program for production’s cast and crew


2) Sustaining Membership level
Individual ($50 per season)
Sustaining Member Benefits
*Season Ticket (a $43 value)
*Listing in the program for every JDG show during the membership season
*All Standard Member benefits
