Noises
Off, a farce written by Michael Frayn, opens February 10th
at The Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Theatre, located at 201
W. Jefferson at historic Bluff Street, Joliet.
The
Joliet Drama Guild will present Noises Off on February
10, 11, 17, and 18 at 8PM and February 12 and 19 at 2PM. Tickets
are $9 for adults and $8 for seniors (over 55) or students (with

The
comedy, which promises enough laughs to banish seasonal depression,
follows the on and off stage antics of a clumsy acting troupe through
blundering dress rehearsals to disastrous closing night. Expect
door-slamming, sardine-flying, side-splitting fun from the talented
cast, which includes: Leon Briick of Joliet as Selsdon, Eric Clement
of Romeoville as Frederick, Theresa Lang of Joliet as Brooke, Eric
Moniger of Joliet as Garry, Tiffany Moore of Wheaton as Belinda,
Tony Shannon of Plainfield as Lloyd, George Skrobuton of Mokena
as Tim, Annalis Whalen of Joliet as Poppy, and Rae Williams of Bolingbrook
as Dotty.
Noises
Off is directed by Ryan Ruffatti of Rolling Meadows and Tina
Matriciano of Palos Hills is the Producer. Assistant Director is
Ellwyn Gulick of Joliet and April Esposito of Joliet is the Stage
Manager.
The
Joliet Drama Guild is an all-volunteer community theatre organization
that is enjoying its 73rd season. Other productions this year include
Picasso at the Lapin Agile in April, The Importance
of Being Earnest in June (at the University of St. Francis),
and Hello Dolly in July and August 2006.
