The production season of the Joliet Drama Guild runs from September 1st through August 31st.

Typically we produce 3 plays and 1 musical every season as our mainstream offerings. Our Studio J productions are usually something “a little different”. We also try to offer various workshops throughout the year on various topics to increase participant’s stagecraft. We have also performed murder mystery dinner theater for select audiences in the intimate and authentic setting of a historical mansion.

Plays and musicals are selected for the following year by the members of the Joliet Drama Guild.

 The play reading committee conducts an extensive search and evaluation process to return their proposals to the board.

The board discusses the proposed shows and brings a final group to the members for approval through voting.

The play reading committee is always looking for volunteers to help in the process!
